Regiment Unveil 2026-27 Roster

ST. JOHN’S, NL —The Newfoundland Regiment are proud to unveil their opening night roster for the 2026/27 season. Head Coach and General Manager Gordie Dwyer has named 23 players to the team with the group set to host the Saint John Sea Dogs on September 18 & 19.

The Regiment roster consists of 14 forwards, seven defencemen and two goalies. Among the 23 players, there are 15 returning players from last year’s inauagural season squad and four players previously selected by Newfoundland in the QMJHL Entry Draft (Ty Hymovitz, Phenwick MacLean, Damian Norris and Jacob Veilleux).

Rounding out the roster are Nikita Bloch, Dmitrii Kubantsev, and William Lundqvist — a trio of Newfoundland picks in the 2026 CHL Import Draft — as well as overage forward Matthew Frost who spent last season in the OHL with the Kingston Frontenacs.

Newfoundland fans can check out the final group for the first time this weekend as the team hosts the Sea Dogs to kickstart their 2026-27 campaign at Mary Brown’s Centre. Tickets for those two games and the rest of the regular season are available online and at the box office now.
