CHL Import Draft: The Titan selects Igor Galygin
Bathurst, NB, Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 – The Canadian Hockey League held its annual European Draft today, allowing all Canadian junior hockey franchises the opportunity to reinforce their line-ups with overseas talent. And with the 15th overall pick, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan selected Igor Galygin (1999-06-26).
A left shooting defenseman, the Moscow native played for the CSKA Moscow U17 team last season, a squad he picked up three goals and 10 assists in 34 games with, all the while accumulating 32 minutes in the penalty box.
At six feet and 172 lbs, Galygin was also selected in the fourth round, 93rd overall, of the 2016 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Draft.

Another Russian talent joins the Titan, the northern New Brunswick team already showcasing the likes of Vladimir Kuznetsov and Daniil Miromanov in its ranks.
