Player Profile: Jacob Melanson
Q: What is your favourite childhood hockey memory?
A: My favourite memory would be going to hockey tournaments and staying in hotels with your teammates and playing mini-sticks.
Q: What is it about the game that you love the most?
A: I love meeting new people through hockey. I’ve met so many new friends that I will have forever, and also being able to play for a town and make them proud.
Q: What kind of foods do you like to eat and what is your pre-game meal?
A: I like pizza. My pre-game meal is three-cheese pasta.
Q: What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who is your favourite band/artist and why?
A: I like listening to rap and my favourite band is Motley Crew.
Q: What are your top five favourite movies/TV series to watch?
A: 1) Friends 2) Riverdale 3) Grown Ups 4) The Dirt 5) The Longest Yard
Q: Do you enjoy reading? If so, what are your favourite books/authors?
A: Nope.
Q: Which NHL team do you cheer for? Why?
A: The Seattle Kraken because I’m drafted by them, but before I was a Maple Leafs fan because of my grandfather.
Q: What is your favourite restaurant in Bathurst? What do you usually order there?
A: Joey’s – The Brunswick burger.
Q: What is your favourite place in the Chaleur region? Why?
A: Gowan Brae. I love golfing in the summer and was nice to play that amazing course when we got here for camp.
Q: Tell us something unique about your hometown?
A: It is home of the jungle – the Amherst Jr. A Ramblers.
Q: What are your other hobbies and interests?
A: On my off time I like to golf, hang with friends or play PS5.
Q: Do you have a nickname? If so, what is it and how did you get it?
A: Melly, because of my last name Melanson.
Q: What is your favourite animal and why?
A: My favourite animal is a gorilla because I find them very interesting.
Q: Are you an Xbox or PlayStation player?
A: Yes, I love playing Play Station with friends.
