Missing in action
The team will be without forward Hendrix Lapierre who remains with the Washington Capitals for the time being. Lapierre was drafted 22nd overall in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft by Washington. Forward Jacob Melanson was returned to the team yesterday following his time with the Seattle Kraken, however it is unclear whether he will be in the lineup tonight.
Moncton enters the season with a number of injuries to key players including defenceman Samuel Desgroseilliers and forward Nicholas Blagden. The Wildcats are also without forward Philippe Daoust who is currently attending the Ottawa Senators training camp.
