Titan acquire MacDonald from Moncton for pair of draft picks
BATHURST – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan announced today that the team has acquired forward Anderson MacDonald from the Moncton Wildcats. General Manager Sylvain Couturier traded our 2019 third round pick and Quebec’s 2020 third round pick to the Wildcats in exchange for MacDonald.
MacDonald is a product of Quispamsis, New Brunswick and was selected in the first round, 10th overall, at the 2016 QMJHL Draft by the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Anderson spent the 2016-17 season with the Phoenix picking up 29 goals and 41 points in 50 games. Sherbrooke traded the six-foot-two, 190-pound forward to Moncton in August 2017 for prospect Jeremy Jacques, a 2018 first round pick, 2019 first round pick, and a 2019 second round pick. He went on to notch 45 points in 58 games for the Wildcats throughout the 2017-18 season.
