Power Play Ignites vs Cape Breton

The power play was clicking in a dominant preseason performance by Liam Kilfoil and the Mooseheads on Sunday in Cape Breton where Halifax defeated the Eagles 5-2 at Centre 200.
Kilfoil had a four-point afternoon and the Herd lit the lamp on three-of-six opportunities on the man advantage while outshooting the Eagles 41-19. The 17-year-old forward from Quispamsis, NB scored twice and added two assists while playing on very productive line with Shawn Carrier and Lou Levesque. Kilfoil scored once on the power play while Carrier had a pair of power play tallies as the duo combined for seven points. Rookie Patrick McNab accounted for the other Mooseheads goal. Defenceman Carlos Handel had a big day with three assists.
Jack Milner played all 60 minutes in goal and made 17 saves to help Halifax improve to 3-2 in the preseason. The Mooseheads will play one more game before the regular season begins later this month.
