Screaming Eagles Trade Defensemen Leduc
Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that they have traded 19-year-old defensemen Loïc Leduc (1994-06-14) to the Rimouski Oceanic in exchange for a 2014 2nd round draft pick. The Val-d’Or Foreurs originally owned the pick that the Screaming Eagles will receive.
The Screaming Eagles drafted Leduc in the 2nd round of the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft. In 182 career games with the Screaming Eagles, Leduc had 6 goals, 19 assists and 238 penalty minutes. He was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 4th round of the 2012 NHL Draft.
“We would like to thank Loïc for his contribution in his four seasons with the Screaming Eagles,” said Screaming Eagles GM & Head Coach Marc-André Dumont. “We wish him best of luck in his hockey career.”
The QMJHL mid-season trade period ends on Tuesday, January 7th at 12 noon.
