Screaming Eagles Trade Batherson To Armada For Three Players, Draft Pick
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have traded Drake Batherson (1998-04-27) to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. In exchange the Screaming Eagles receive Shaun Miller (1999-06-04), Kyle Havlena (2000-06-15) and Felix Lafrance (2001-06-21), in addition to Blainville-Boisbriand’s first round draft pick in 2020. The Screaming Eagles will also send Charlottetown’s sixth round pick in 2018 to Blainville-Boisbriand.
Batherson, part of Team Canada’s World Junior gold medal winning team, has 39 points in 24 QMJHL games. He was drafted by the Screaming Eagles with the 97th overall pick (fifth round) in the 2015 draft.
Miller, a winger in his second full season in the QMJHL, has 11 points through 18 games. Havlena, a rookie defenseman, has two goals through 19 games this season. Lafrance is currently playing with Saint-Eustache in the Québec Midget AAA league after he was chosen by the Armada in the second round of the 2017 QMJHL draft (24th overall).
The Screaming Eagles are next in action when they host the Rimouski Océanic tonight at Centre 200. Game time is 7 PM.
