Screaming Eagles team up with Boston Pizza in hosting NHL Draft Party
Sydney – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have teamed up with Boston Pizza in hosting an NHL draft party. The draft party will take place on Friday, June 26, and will run from 8pm to 10pm at Boston Pizza in Sydney.
After a successful rookie season with the Screaming Eagles, Russian forward Evgeny Svechnikov is projected to be drafted in the first round of this weekends 2015 NHL Entry Draft in Florida. Evgeny is currently ranked #17 overall by NHL Central Scouting.
During this week, only at Boston Pizza, customers who purchase a Pepsi product will receive a ballot for their chance to win a signed Evgeny Svechnikov game worn jersey and a gift card courtesy of Boston Pizza. Additionally, customers who purchase a Molson product, will receive a ballot for their chance to win a Screaming Eagles branded Molson Mini Fridge (must be 19 years or older). In order to qualify to win, customers will fill out a ballot and predict which NHL team will draft Evgeny. The winners of the draw will be announced at Boston Pizza right after Evgeny is drafted.
The National Hockey League 2015 NHL Entry Draft takes place this weekend, June 26-27 at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. The first round will be conducted on Friday, June 26 and broadcast live by Sportsnet and TVA Sports, beginning at 8 p.m., AST. Rounds 2-7 will be held on Saturday, June 27, beginning at 11 a.m., AST, when Screaming Eagles defenseman Loïk Léveillé (ranked 121st overall) is projected to be drafted. The NHL Network will be providing live coverage all day Saturday to viewers throughout North America.
