Eagles Shutout By Fortin, Océanic

SYDNEY – Zachary Fortin stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Rimouski Océanic shutout the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 3-0 in front of 2,147 fans on hand at Centre 200 on Friday.
With the loss, the Screaming Eagles record falls to 11-10-0-3 on the season.
Anthony DeLuca scored a pair of goals, while Michael Joly also netted a goal for the Océanic, who improve to 14-7-1-3 on the year.
Rimouski got the scoring started in the game as Anthony DeLuca netted his 20th goal of the season beating Screaming Eagles goaltender Chase Marchand on the glove side at 3:21 of the first period, Ryan MacKinnon had the lone assist.
The Océanic took a 2-0 lead at 8:26 of the opening frame as Michael Joly buried a Alexis Loiseau rebound for his 15th goal of the season, Loiseau and DeLuca added the helpers on the goal.
DeLuca secured the win for Rimouski as he scored his second goal of the game, 21st of the season, into an empty net at 19:15 of the third period, Joly had the only assist.
Despite the loss, Marchand played a solid game stopping 28 of 30 shots in the loss for Cape Breton, his record falls to 4-2-0-0.
The Screaming Eagles are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, November 16th, when they host the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Centre 200. Tickets are available by contacting the Centre 200 Box Office or online at tickets.capebreton.ca.

First Shutout As Océanic: Rimouski Océanic goaltender Zachary Fortin posted his first shutout as a member of the Océanic on Friday. He made 27 saves in a 3-0 win over the Screaming Eagles. The native of St-Jérôme, Que., now has a total of three career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League shutouts.
First Game Behind The Mic: Dave LeBlanc completed his first broadcast as the Screaming Eagles interim play-by-play man on 103.5 The Eagle on Friday. LeBlanc replaces Kyle Moore, who stepped down from the positon to join CTV Atlantic News in Sydney.
Final Shots On Goal: 31-27 in favor of Rimouski.
Cape Breton went 0/5 on the power play, while Rimouski did not have opportunity.
