Eagles Look To Complete The Sweep Tonight In Rimouski
Following a victory in game three, the Eagles hold a commanding 3-0 lead over the Rimouski Océanic. And for the first time since 2019, the Cape Breton Eagles are looking to punch their ticket to the second round of the playoffs.
Game three didn’t follow the same script as the higher scoring games in Sydney. After outscoring Rimouski 13-5 over the weekend, last night both teams scratched and clawed for each goal before Cam MacDonald’s goal early in the third period broke a 1-1 tie. Nicolas Ruccia continued his strong play by stopping 27 of 28 shots, Cam Squires continued his torrid streak, scoring twice to extend his lead in the CHL playoff scoring.
