Canada wins 6-0 over Sweden at WU18
Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team finished the round-robin of the 2013 IIHF World Under-18 Championship with a perfect 4-0 record following a 6-0 shutout win over Sweden.
Connor McDavid of the Erie Otters scored a hat-trick and added an assist to lead the club offensively.
Morgan Klimchuk (Regina Pats) chipped in a goal and an assist while Josh Morrissey (Prince Albert Raiders) had two assists.
Canada also had goals from Zach Nastasiuk (Owen Sound Attack) and Nick Ritchie (Peterborough Petes).
Philippe Desrosiers (Rimouski Oceanic) stopped all 28 shots he faced for the shutout win in goal.
