A matchup of two of the top three offences in the WHL’s Eastern Conference didn’t live up to the offensive hype, but it lived up to the promise of two points for the Medicine Hat Tigers in a 3-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades. Daniel Baker opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the regular season, followed in the middle of the period by goals from Ryan Chyzowski and Dru Krebs. Zach Huber scored midway through the third period to get the Blades on the board, but that’s as close as they’d come on this night.
Mads Søgaard (Ottawa Senators) stopped 24 of 25 shots for the victory. Brett Kemp added a pair of assists.
