TOP PERFORMER
It’s a double Denton!
Moose Jaw Warriors Captain Denton Mateychuk snagged a pair of points in a clutch Game 3 victory over Saskatoon on Tuesday night.
With the Blades leading 1-0 in the second period, Mateychuk quarterbacked the Moose Jaw powerplay to several glorious opportunities before his shot from the point created a rebound for Atley Calvert to bury.
The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect got it done at both ends of the ice, denying Saskatoon the lead by corralling a puck on the Moose Jaw goal line and steering it out of harm’s way.

With Saskatoon firing a game-high 16 shots on net in the third period in search of an equalizer, Mateychuk put the game away by firing the puck through two Blades attackers, off the boards, and into the empty net to seal a 3-1 win and 2-1 series lead for his Warriors.
Mateychuk continues to lead all WHL skaters with 23 points and 17 assists in 12 games.
