Silvertips strike Gould with Draft Day trade
Everett, Wash.- The 2025 WHL regular season champion Everett Silvertips hope to strike ‘Gould’ with the addition of former Swift Current Broncos alternate captain Rylan Gould.
In exchange, the Broncos receive the rights to 2009-born forward Kasey Gleim and a first-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
“Rylan gives us more scoring punch up front for next season,” Silvertips General Manager Mike Fraser said. “Our staff has always been impressed with his dynamic game, and he’s an offensive threat each time he steps onto the ice. We are looking forward to welcoming Rylan to Silvertip Country in August.”
Gould, 19, finished third on the Broncos in goals (29) and fourth in points (66) while adding 37 assists in 60 games.
He ranked second on the team with 12 powerplay goals and added one shorthanded marker.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound left winger picked up a hat trick against the Regina Pats on March 15, 2025, and set a new career high with a two-goal, three-assist effort in a 6-3 win over the division rival Saskatoon Blades on October 4, 2024.
Swift Current selected the Headingly, Man. product in the second round of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
Gould has gone on to tally 57 goals and 94 points for 151 points in 258 regular-season games over four seasons in Speedy Creek.
He’s added another goal and five assists in 14 postseason contests with the Broncos.
