Rockets forward Gojsic signs entry-level deal with Nashville Predators
Nashville, Tenn.- Kelowna Rockets forward Hiroki Gojsic has put pen to paper on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators, General Manager Barry Trotz announced Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 207-pound forward is currently participating in his first NHL Training Camp after being selected 94th overall in the third round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft in Las Vegas, Nev.
Gojsic emerged as a physical scoring threat in his first season with the Rockets after transitioning to the WHL from the BCHL in 2023-24.
After putting up nine points through Kelowna’s first 27 matches, Gojsic erupted for 41 points in the second half of the season to finish with 21 goals and 29 assists in 68 games.
He led all Kelowna rookies and finished fifth overall on the squad in points.
In the 2024 WHL Playoffs, he added another five assists in 11 outings to help the Rockets reach the second round.
Gojsic recorded 12 multi-point games through the regular season and playoffs, highlighted by a three-goal, one-assist effort against the Spokane Chiefs on February 4.
The Langley, B.C. product impressed at the 2024 NHL Rookie Showcase earlier this month, where he tied for the second-most points in the tournament with two goals and two assists in four games.
He also played his first NHL preseason match on Sunday, September 22 in a split-squad match against the Florida Panthers.
