Regina Pats acquire veteran goaltender Marek Schlenker from Penticton

Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats Hockey Club has acquired 2006-born goaltender Marek Schlenker from the Penticton Vees in exchange for a 2027 ninth-round pick.

“We’re pleased to add to our goaltending depth with an experienced WHL goaltender,” said Regina Pats GM Dale Derkatch. “We would like to welcome Marek to the Regina Pats organization.”

Schlenker, 19, had a productive rookie season with the Portland Winterhawks in 2024-25, going 13-10-1 with a 3.70 goals-against average and .893 save percentage in 30 appearances. The Okotoks, Alta. product made 40+ saves on three different occasions last season, posting a career-high 48 saves on December 11 at Everett. The 5-foot-10, 164 lb. goaltender was selected by the Vees in the 2025 WHL Expansion Draft on May 7.
