The 20-year-old will join the River Hawks for the 2025-26 season upon the completion of his Western Hockey League eligibility.
“I am super excited to commit to UMass-Lowell for next year!” Mori said. “I’m so grateful for everyone who has helped me along this journey from my family, my friends, my teammates and coaches. I am also very grateful for this opportunity that has opened up to myself and everyone else!”
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound blueliner has a goal and 16 assists for 17 points and a +10 rating through 37 games this season.
Mori sits second on the team in points and assists by a defenceman and is currently riding a three-game point streak.
Originally drafted by Portland in the eighth round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft, Mori played three seasons with the Winterhawks before being acquired by the Oil Kings in an offseason trade.
