LeGall stands tall, Silvertips defeat Chiefs in Wednesday Night in the Dub U.S. Division thriller
Spokane, Wash.- Rookie Raiden Legall some heavy lifting as Everett pulled off the comeback to claim a critical 3-2 victory against the rival Spokane Chiefs in Wednesday Night in the Dub action.
The win sees the league-leading Silvertips reach 96 points on the season (44-12-4-4) and inch closer to claiming the 10th U.S. Division title in team history, though Chiefs standout Andrew Cristall was able to increase his hold on the CHL scoring lead with a goal and an assist to bring his season total to 123 points (45G-78A).
Everett is also five points away from clinching the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as WHL regular season champions for the second time in franchise history.
Despite being held scoreless on an early powerplay, Spokane turned up the pressure in the opening minutes with a flurry of opportunities in the Everett end.
St. Louis Blues prospect Will McIsaac broke through first after the defenceman flicked a shot on net and fired his own rebound home.
Cristall recorded his 122nd point of the season with a primary assist, while Swedish centreman Rasmus Ekstrom picked up his 49th point of the season with the secondary helper.

But a pair of Seattle Kraken prospects teamed up to help the Tips level the match less than two minutes later.
2024 Kraken pick Julius Miettinen found Captain Kaden Hammell at the blue line for a point shot, with Czech veteran Dominik Rymon lingering in the slot to rip the rebound past Dawson Cowan.
Rymon is now one goal away from a second consecutive 30-goal season.

Spokane dug itself into a deeper hole in the second period after a botched play saw the Chiefs redirect the puck into their own net, with Silvertips veteran Tyler MacKenzie getting credit for his 33rd lamp-lighter of the year.
The Chiefs found some redemption on a third-period powerplay as Cristall buried from the slot off of a passing play with Captain Berkly Catton (Seattle Kraken) and defender Brayden Crampton.
