Hitmen announce first two WHL Playoff dates, tickets
Calgary, Alta.- Playoff hockey is returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome.
With points in 10 straight games, the Calgary Hitmen have locked up home-ice advantage in Round One of the 2025 WHL Playoffs presented by Nutrien.
Calgary (42-15-3-3) is now tied with the Central Division-leading Medicine Hat Tigers (43-17-3-1) in points and has a shot at claiming the Hitmen’s first division title since 2014-15 in the home stretch of the regular season.
The Hitmen are on the hunt for their third WHL Championship, having lifted the Ed Chynoweth Cup in 1999 and 2010.
While Calgary awaits their first-round opponent, the team has released home dates and tickets for Games 1 and 2:

Led by top 2025 NHL Draft-eligible forward Ben Kindel and top NHL prospects like Captain Carson Westch (San Jose Sharks), Carter Yakemchuk (Ottawa Senators), Tanner Howe (Pittsburgh Penguins), Kalem Parker (Minnesota Wild), Axel Hurtig (Calgary Flames) and Sawyer Mynio (Vancouve Canucks), the Hitmen have surpassed 40 wins for the first time since 2015-16 while celebrating the franchise’s 30th season in the Western Hockey League.
Calgary is also chasing history as netminder Daniel Hauser is one win away from tying Nolan Maier (Saskatoon Blades) as the WHL’s all-time wins leader (122).
The Hitmen conclude their regular season on Sunday, March 23 on home ice against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. MST.
