Broncos acquire Svenson from ICE for conditional draft pick
The Swift Current Broncos have acquired forward Justin Svenson from the Winnipeg ICE.
In return, the ICE have received a conditional ninth-round selection in the 2021 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Svenson, a 6-foot-0, 198-pound product of Ile Des Chenes, Man., was originally selected in the third round, 48th overall, by the Red Deer Rebels at the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft. The ICE acquired Svenson from the Rebels as part of a November 30, 2018 deal that saw Brett Davis and Cameron Hausinger head the other way.
The 18-year-old forward is currently playing with the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). Through 15 games this season, he has 18 points (4G-14A).
