Americans veteran MacAdams commits to Northern Michigan University
Kennewick, Wash.- Tri-City Americans forward Carter MacAdams has announced his commitment to Northern Michigan University.
The 20-year-old will join the Wildcats for the 2025-26 season upon the conclusion of his WHL eligibility.
“I’m so thankful and excited for this opportunity,” MacAdams said.
“I can’t thank my coaches, teammates, family and friends enough for helping me achieve this commitment. I look forward to joining a great program next season and helping them win hockey games.”
MacAdams is enjoying a career-best season with the U.S. Division powerhouse Americans, potting 10 goals (including two game-winners) and 18 assists for 28 points and a +8 rating in 24 matches.
He sits third on the team in points, is tied for second in assists and ranks fourth in goals.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound left winger from South Surrey, B.C. is currently on a five-game point streak that’s seen him add four goals and three assists.
He also helped Tri-City go on a monster 12-game win streak from late October to mid-November, setting a modern franchise record for consecutive wins.
MacAdams was originally drafted by the Prince George Cougars in the fourth round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft.
He’s netted 43 goals and 75 assists for 118 points in 223 career regular-season matches.
Tri-City (18-6-1-0) continues a four-game homestand as they host the Vancouver Giants (11-9-4-0) on Friday, December 6 at 7:05 p.m. PST.
