Americans defenceman Goldsmith discharged from hospital, resting at home
Kennewick, Wash. – Tri-City Americans defenceman Terrell Goldsmith has been discharged from hospital and is resting at home.
Goldsmith was taken to hospital Tuesday evening when he required medical attention following an on-ice altercation 1:05 into the second period of WHL Regular Season Game #690 between the Seattle Thunderbirds and Tri-City Americans.
Medical staff with the Americans will continue to monitor Goldsmith as he rests.
WHL Regular Season Game #690 was suspended as a result of the circumstance. The game will be rescheduled at a later date.
Hailing from For St. James, B.C., Goldsmith is in his fourth WHL season and first with the Tri-City Americans. He is enjoying a career campaign with Tri-City, having collected 16 points (4G-12A) in 56 games.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pound defender was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft. He signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Utah Hockey Club on October 18, 2024.
In 241 career WHL games spit between the Americans and Prince Albert Raiders, Goldsmith has tallied 46 points (14G-32A).
