2026 WHL Playoffs: Clinching Scenarios – Saturday, February 14
The Edmonton Oil Kings can become the fourth team to qualify for the 2026 WHL Playoffs on Saturday night.
The Edmonton Oil Kings can clinch a playoff berth with:

A win of any kind versus Calgary; OR
-
A Moose Jaw regulation loss versus Regina; OR
- An Edmonton OT/SO loss combined with any Moose Jaw loss
Any of those outcomes would secure Edmonton a berth in the 2026 WHL Playoffs.
Edmonton (34-13-3-2) returns home to look for revenge against Calgary (30-14-6-1) after suffereing a 5-3 road loss to the Hitmen on Friday.
The Oil Kings rank second in the Central Division and third in the Eastern Conference.
Puck drop at Rogers Place is set for 7:00 p.m. MST.
In the East Division, the Regina Pats (18-26-6-1) sit three points out of the eighth and final playoff berth in the conference with two games in hand on the eighth-place Red Deer Rebels (20-28-2-2).
The Pats will tangle with the seventh-place Moose Jaw Warriors (19-27-5-2) at 6:00 p.m. ST.
