2025 WHL Playoffs: Clinching Scenarios – Wednesday, March 12
There’s just one playoff spot remaining in the WHL’s Eastern Conference, and the Swift Current Broncos hope to lock it up on Wednesday night.
The Swift Current Broncos can clinch a playoff berth with:
- Any Swift Current win or overtime/shootout loss versus Red Deer
The Broncos (33-26-1-2) and Rebels (25-30-5-2) are the only two teams in contention for the final playoff berth.
Swift Current is coming off of a shootout loss against the Edmonton Oil Kings, while the Rebels staved off mathematical elimination with a 6-4 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday, thanks to five-point nights from Nashville Predators prospect Kalan Lind (2G-3A) and Seattle Kraken pick Ollie Josephson (3G-2A).
The Rebels will roll into Swift Current’s InnovationPlex for a 7:00 p.m. ST puck drop.
