2025 WHL Playoffs: Clinching Scenarios – Sunday, March 2

Seven teams have locked down their spots in the 2025 WHL Playoffs, but the Tri-City Americans hope to make it eight by the end of the weekend.

The Tri-City Americans can clinch a playoff berth with:

• Any Tri-City win at Seattle; and
• Any Wenatchee loss at Vancouver

OR

• A Tri-City overtime/shootout loss at Seattle; and
• A Wenatchee regulation loss at Vancouver

Tri-City (30-23-5-1) is on a 2-0-1-0 streak after falling to Wenatchee in a tightly-contested overtime showdown on Saturday night.

The Ams head to Seattle to face the surging Thunderbirds (24-30-3-1) at 5:05 p.m. PST.

Wenatchee (21-30-7-1) is in a dead heat with Seattle and Kamloops for the final playoff berth in the Western Conference.

Puck drops between the Wild and the Vancouver Giants (28-24-8-0) at 4:00 p.m. PST.
