2025 WHL Playoffs: Clinching Scenarios – Friday, February 7
The 2025 WHL Playoffs are on the horizon.
The Everett Silvertips can become the first WHL Club to punch a ticket to the big dance this Friday, February 7.
Everett can clinch a playoff berth with:
- Any win at Kamloops; or
- An OT or SO loss at Kamloops; or
- Any Seattle loss versus Spokane
With a record of 36-8-4-3 (79 points), the Silvertips sit atop the WHL’s overall standings and maintain control over their playoff fate.
Everett is staring down a two-game road swing this weekend, including Friday at Kamloops (7 p.m. PT) and Saturday at Vancouver (7 p.m. PT).
Battling for playoff positioning, the Seattle Thunderbirds will look to delay the Silvertips from securing the coveted ‘X’ beside their name in the standings. With a record of 18-27-2-1 (39 points), the Thunderbirds sit 10th in the Western Conference standings heading into the weekend as they prepare to host the Spokane Chiefs on Friday (7:05 p.m. PT) before visiting the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday (6 p.m. PT).
