2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 19
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 19 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
The Everett Silvertips (39-6-2-1) surged to No. 1 for the first time since before the holiday break after a perfect 3-0 week that stretched their win streak to seven and kept them pacing the CHL in wins and points percentage. The Prince Albert Raiders (37-7-4-0) settled in at No. 2 after winning two of three, continuing to trail only Everett across the Western Hockey League and CHL in key team measures while remaining one of just two clubs above the .800 mark. Meanwhile, the Brantford Bulldogs (34-7-6-1) climbed back to No. 3 behind an 11-game point streak (9-0-2-0) that has fueled one of the CHL’s most consistent seasons, highlighted last week by a pair of home wins and continued top-of-the-table form in the Ontario Hockey League.
Further down the list, several clubs continued to trend upward, led by the Moncton Wildcats (35-8-2-1), who pushed their win streak to seven and climbed to a season-best No. 4 while maintaining their grip on the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League’s top spot. The Medicine Hat Tigers (34-8-3-3) also kept climbing, jumping into sixth after two home wins and continuing a torrid run since early November, powered by the high-end production of twins Liam Ruck and Markus Ruck. Rounding out the risers, the Kitchener Rangers (32-11-4-1) returned to the CHL Top 10 for the first time in 11 weeks at No. 10, riding a 12-game point streak and continuing a post–mid-December surge that has made them one of the OHL’s hottest teams.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 19
1. Everett Silvertips (WHL): With a perfect 3-0-0-0 week, the Everett Silvertips (39-6-2-1) have surged back into the No. 1 spot of the Canadian Hockey League Top-10 Rankings for the first time since before the holiday break, extending their win streak to seven straight by taking down the Spokane Chiefs (4-1), Seattle Thunderbirds (5-1), and Tri-City Americans (6-3) on consecutive nights. Everett continues to set the CHL pace with a league-best 39 wins and a .844 points percentage—while their six regulation losses are the fewest in the circuit—and they’ve been just as stingy defensively, allowing a WHL-low 2.44 goals per game. Carter Bear (20G-24A in 34 GP), a Detroit Red Wings prospect, led the charge over the weekend with six points (2G-4A), and since returning from the 2026 World Juniors with bronze, he’s produced six multi-point games in 11 outings. Meanwhile, rookie standout Mathias Vanhanen (12G-46A in 42 GP) was recognized as Sandman WHL Rookie of the Week after a five-point, plus-5 showing over the last week. Ranked 76th among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting’s Midterm Rankings for the 2026 NHL Draft, Vanhanen leads Everett with 58 points (12G-46A) in 42 games and ranks third in the Western Hockey League with 46 assists. Next up, the Silvertips wrap up their homestand at Angel of the Winds Arena against the Kamloops Blazers and Victoria Royals.
Games this week: vs. Kamloops (Feb. 6), vs. Victoria (Feb. 7)
2. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): Having won two of three games over the last week, the Prince Albert Raiders (37-7-4-0) slid one spot to No. 2 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. They opened the week by extending their winning streak to eight with a 4-3 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors, but were blanked 4-0 at home by the Saskatoon Blades before bouncing back with a 3-1 road win in Saskatoon to wrap up the week. Over their last 23 outings, the Raiders have dropped just three contests (20-3-0-0), and they continue to rank among the CHL’s elite—trailing only the top-ranked Everett Silvertips in wins, regulation losses, and points percentage across both the Western Hockey League and CHL, while standing as one of just two CHL clubs above the .800 mark. Offensively, San Jose Sharks prospect Max Heise (24G-25A in 44 GP) and Vancouver Canucks prospect Braeden Cootes (15G-23A in 29 GP) led the way over the three games at a point-per-game clip, with Heise recording points in 14 of his last 16 since Dec. 27 (10G-15A) and Cootes producing 15 points (5G-10A) in 12 games since joining the club after earning bronze with Team Canada at the 2026 World Juniors. This week, Prince Albert opens a four-game homestand against the Calgary Hitmen, Lethbridge Hurricanes, and Brandon Wheat Kings.
Games this week: vs. Calgary (Feb. 4), vs. Lethbridge (Feb. 6), vs. Brandon (Feb. 7)
3. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): With points in 11 straight games (9-0-2-0), the Brantford Bulldogs (34-7-6-1) have climbed back into the No. 3 spot of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the fourth time in six weeks, continuing a season-long run of consistency that has seen them rank among the CHL’s top three teams 16 times in 20 editions of the rankings. Alongside the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, Brantford is one of just two CHL clubs to appear in the Top 10 in every instalment dating back to the preseason list. They pushed their current point streak forward last week with two home wins—a 4-1 victory over the Owen Sound Attack and a 3-2 shootout decision against the Soo Greyhounds. The Bulldogs continue to set the pace in the OHL with 75 points and a .781 points percentage, and they remain the league’s only team with fewer than 10 regulation losses (seven through 48 games). Offensively, Jake O’Brien (18G-42A in 34 GP), a Seattle Kraken prospect, has been a driving force with 60 points while ranking among OHL leaders in assists (42; 4th), power-play assists (20; T-2nd), and power-play points (28; 1st). Adam Benák (22G-34A in 33 GP), a Minnesota Wild prospect, has stayed hot as well—extending his point streak to five games while piling up 11 points (6G-5A) over that stretch, good for better than two points per game. This week, Brantford looks to keep rolling when they host the Kingston Frontenacs before a trip east featuring a matchup with the No. 8-ranked Ottawa 67’s and a date in Kingston.
Games this week: vs. Kingston (Feb. 4), @ Ottawa (Feb. 7), @ Kingston (Feb. 8)
4. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): With three straight wins over the Saint John Sea Dogs (7-4), the Baie-Comeau Drakkar (5-0), and the Newfoundland Regiment (3-0) over the last week, the Moncton Wildcats (35-8-2-1) extended their winning streak to seven and climbed to a season-best No. 4 in this week’s Canadian Hockey League Top-10 Rankings. The defending Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League champions continue to pace the circuit with 35 wins, 73 points, and a .793 points percentage, and since the start of November, they’ve been on a tear at 29-4-0-1 over their last 34 games with just four regulation losses. That run has also cemented Moncton as the QMJHL’s most explosive offence, now averaging a league-best 4.52 goals per game in 2025-26. Up front, Caleb Desnoyers (11G-29A in 27 GP), a Utah Mammoth prospect, led all QMJHL skaters in scoring last week with seven points (1G-6A) across the three victories, and since Nov. 19, he’s been held off the scoresheet just twice in his last 20 games while recording 11 multi-point outings. Gavin Cornforth (4G-9A in 11 GP) has also made an immediate impact since arriving from Boston College, producing 13 points in 11 games with two multi-point efforts last week. The Wildcats hit the road this weekend for dates with Saint John and the Charlottetown Islanders.
Games this week: @ Saint John (Feb. 6), @ Charlottetown (Feb. 7)
5. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): After dropping their lone game of the week—a 3-1 decision against the Shawinigan Cataractes—the Chicoutimi Saguenéens (32-8-3-2) slid a couple of spots in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings despite carrying much of the play, outshooting Shawinigan 43-15, including a 16-4 edge in the third period. The difference came in goal, where Mathys Fernandez turned aside 42 shots to backstop the win for Shawinigan. 19-year-old Thomas Desruisseaux (15G-31A in 39 GP) scored Chicoutimi’s lone marker and continued his strong run—finding the scoresheet in 17 of his last 19 games (10G-16A)—as the Lévis native remains a key driver for the club. Maxim Massé (35G-29A in 44 GP), an Anaheim Ducks prospect, picked up an assist on the goal and has stayed productive as well, having been held off the scoresheet just three times in his last 20 games with 30 points since Dec. 1—third-most in the QMJHL. Chicoutimi faces another stiff test this week with a road matchup against the surging Blainville-Boisbriand Armada—owners of a nine-game point streak—before heading west the next night to meet the Gatineau Olympiques.
Games this week: @ Blainville-Boisbriand (Feb. 6), @ Gatineau (Feb. 7)
6. Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL): After earning a pair of home wins at Co-op Place over the last week, the Medicine Hat Tigers (34-8-3-3) climbed to No. 6 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings—one spot shy of their season-best No. 5 from a couple of weeks ago—and have now moved up the list in four of the last five weeks. The Tigers opened with a convincing 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades before doubling up the Lethbridge Hurricanes 8-4 on Saturday, extending a dominant stretch in which they’ve gone 24-2-2-1 since Nov. 8. During that run, their only two regulation losses have come against the No. 2-ranked Prince Albert Raiders, as Medicine Hat now sits just four points back of Prince Albert in the WHL’s Eastern Conference race. Leading the way last week were twin brothers and 2026 NHL Draft-eligible standouts Liam Ruck (29G-40A in 48 GP) and Markus Ruck (12G-56A in 48 GP), who each posted five points across the two victories. Since the start of December, no WHL duo has produced more than the brothers—Liam (20G-23A in 21 GP) and Markus (6G-32A in 21 GP)—as their surge has them among the CHL scoring leaders in 2025-26, with Liam’s 69 points tied for fourth and Markus’ 68 points tied for sixth. Meanwhile, Andrew Basha (7G-13A in 12 GP), a Calgary Flames prospect, extended his point streak to seven games and now has 20 points in 12 outings since being reassigned from the WHL’s Calgary Wranglers. This week, Medicine Hat looks to keep climbing when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings before a home-and-home set with the Swift Current Broncos.
Games this week: vs. Edmonton (Feb. 4), @ Swift Current (Feb. 6), vs. Swift Current (Feb. 7)
7. Penticton Vees (WHL): Despite seeing their 14-game winning streak come to an end on Friday, the Penticton Vees (31-10-4-3) responded with back-to-back victories to remain steady at No. 7 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. The Vees dropped a 5-2 decision at home to the Kamloops Blazers, but bounced back with a 5-3 win over the Portland Winterhawks before edging the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-4 in a shootout to close the weekend, capping a dominant January in which they went 12-1-0-0. Since Dec. 1, Penticton has earned points in 21 of its last 23 games (20-2-1-0) with only two regulation losses, and they stand as one of just three WHL clubs to post at least nine wins over its last 10 outings. Offensively, 20-year-old forward Brady Birnie (18G-36A in 48 GP) and Jacob Kvasnicka (27G-37A in 46 GP), a New York Islanders prospect, led the way last week with four points apiece (1G-3A), with Birnie extending his point streak to eight games and Kvasnicka recording points in 15 of his last 17 contests, including 11 multi-point outings in that span. This week, the Vees head to face the Spokane Chiefs on Wednesday before completing a home-and-home set with the Tri-City Americans this weekend.
Games this week: @ Spokane (Feb. 4), vs. Tri-City (Feb. 6), @ Tri-City (Feb. 7)
8. Ottawa 67’s (OHL): After splitting their two games over the last week, the Ottawa 67’s (35-10-1-2) slipped a couple of spots to No. 8 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. Ottawa opened the week by extending its win streak to seven with a 4-1 victory over the Peterborough Petes, but saw that run snapped two days later in a 5-2 home loss to the Sudbury Wolves at TD Place. Even with the setback, the 67’s still lead the Ontario Hockey League with 35 wins and sit just two points back of the No. 3-ranked Brantford Bulldogs atop the overall standings. They also continue to set the defensive standard across the CHL with a league-low 112 goals against and a 2.33 goals-against average. In his lone start, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Ryder Fetterolf stopped 24-of-25 shots versus Peterborough to earn his fourth straight win and maintain CHL-leading marks (1.91 GAA, .928 SV%). Meanwhile, Sam McCue (13G-11A in 33 GP), a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect, delivered his best outing yet with Ottawa by posting 2G-1A—including a highlight-reel Michigan goal—and now has seven points (3G-4A) in eight games since being acquired from Brantford. This week, Ottawa’s homestand continues with a marquee matchup against the No.3-ranked Brantford Bulldogs before welcoming the Owen Sound Attack back to TD Place.
Games this week: vs. Brantford (Feb. 7), vs. Owen Sound (Feb. 8)
9. Barrie Colts (OHL): After a successful trip to Michigan that featured back-to-back road wins, the Barrie Colts (32-11-2-4) moved up one spot to a season-best No. 9 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. Barrie opened the swing with a 6-5 overtime victory over the Flint Firebirds before doubling up the Saginaw Spirit 4-2 at the Dow Event Center the following day, improving to nine wins in their last 10 games and continuing a dominant post-holiday stretch in which they’ve gone 13-1-1-0 in their last 15 contests— with their lone regulation loss coming against the No. 3-ranked Brantford Bulldogs. Offensively, 19-year-old Ben Wilmott (7G-7A in 11 GP) and Dallas Stars third-round pick Brad Gardiner (23G-23A in 49 GP) led the way by scoring in both games while posting four points apiece (2G-2A), with Gardiner recording a goal and an assist for the third time in five outings and Wilmott continuing to make an immediate impact since arriving from the London Knights, finding the back of the net in seven of 11 appearances for Barrie. This week, the Colts head to face the Brampton Steelheads on Friday before wrapping the weekend with a home-and-home set against the North Bay Battalion.
Games this week: vs. Brampton (Feb. 6), vs. North Bay (Feb. 7). @ North Bay (Feb. 8)
10. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): Having collected five of a possible six points over the last week to extend their point streak to 12 games (10-0-1-1), the Kitchener Rangers (32-11-4-1) have climbed back into the CHL Top-10 Rankings at No. 10 for the first time in 11 weeks—dating back to Nov. 11. Kitchener opened with a 4-1 win over the Sarnia Sting, slipped 3-2 in overtime to the Owen Sound Attack, and then bounced back in emphatic fashion with a 7-2 victory over the Windsor Spitfires at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Since Dec. 13, the Rangers have been one of the Ontario Hockey League’s hottest clubs, going 14-1-1-1 over their last 17 games with just one regulation loss, and they’ve been powered by Christian Humphreys (16G-44A in 45 GP), a Colorado Avalanche prospect who posted five points (1G-4A) last week to stretch his OHL-longest active point streak to 14 games (23 points over that span). Jack Pridham (31G-31A in 46 GP), a Chicago Blackhawks prospect, has been just as impactful—extending his own point streak to 10 games while earning OHL Player of the Month honours after leading the league in January scoring with 20 points (8G-12A) in 11 contests. This week, Kitchener heads to face the London Knights before continuing a busy stretch with matchups against the Guelph Storm and Niagara IceDogs.
Games this week: @ London (Feb. 4), vs. Guelph (Feb. 6), @ Niagara (Feb. 7)
