2024 WHL Playoff Clinching Scenarios: February 28

The Moose Jaw Warriors have the chance to become the second Eastern Conference team to seal a playoff berth when they take the ice on Wednesday night.

Moose Jaw can clinch a spot if:

Moose Jaw beats Portland in any fashion AND Calgary loses to Edmonton in any fashion OR

Moose Jaw loses to Portland in overtime or a shoot out AND Calgary loses to Edmonton in regulation

The Warriors (36-19-0-2) are second in the East Division with wins in seven of their past 10 games.

Moose Jaw is a perfect 2-0-0-0 to start a six-game U.S. Division road swing, but face a big test Wednesday night when they face the Portland Winterhawks, who have already clinched a playoff spot and sport the second-best home record in the league at 22-5-1-0.

The puck drops at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. PST, while Edmonton visits Calgary for an early 11:00 a.m. MST tilt at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
