2024 WHL Graduates – Everett Silvertips
Over the summer, the Western Hockey League will be celebrating the WHL Graduates from the 2023-24 season in a 22-part, team-by-team series.
We continue with the graduating players from the Everett Silvertips.
Parker Berge (D)
Hometown: Edmonton, Alta.
WHL Career Stats: 213 GP – 18G-82A–100 points
WHL Draft: 2018 – Eighth Round, 157th Overall (Regina Pats)
Parker Berge called the WHL his home between 2019 and 2024, as he suited up in 213 games with both the Regina Pats and Everett Silvertips. Originally drafted in the eighth round of the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft by the Pats, the defenceman didn’t make his League debut until January 24, 2024. Berge’s first full season in the WHL was in 2020-21, where he played in 23 of Regina’s 24 games inside the East Division Hub. His first point came on March 26, 2021, while his first career goal and multi-point outing came on April 5, 2021, against the Moose Jaw Warriors. In total, Berge skated in 183 games with the Pats organization, collecting 75 points (15 goals–60 assists). On January 2, 2024, Berge was acquired by the Everett Silvertips in a trade that saw fellow 20-year-old Ty Gibson and a second-round pick head to Regina. Splitting his final year in the Western League between Regina and Everett didn’t faze Berge either. The product of Edmonton, Alta., boasted his best season to date in 2023-24. Making 66 total appearances, the 6-foot-1 blueliner collected a career-high in goals (13), assists (50), and points (63).

WHL Career Stats: 140 GP – .902 SV%-3.24 GAA–66 Wins
WHL Draft: 2018 – Tenth Round, 215th Overall (Spokane Chiefs)
Fernie’s Tyler Palmer graduates the WHL following a three-season tenure with stops in both Victoria, B.C. and Everett, Wash. Initially selected in the 10th round of the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft by the Spokane Chiefs and going unsigned, Palmer migrated north of the border to sign a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Victoria Royals. He made his Royals debut on October 2, 2021, making 40 saves in a 5-0 loss to the Vancouver Giants. Palmer’s first win between the pipes came on October 8, 2021, recording a 33-save performance en route to a 6-3 against the Kelowna Rockets. The netminder capped off his first season in the Western League with a record of 17-23-2-0 and three shutouts. In December 2022, Palmer was traded to the Everett Silvertips in exchange for fellow puckstopper, Braden Holt. His first win with the Silvertips came in his third start with the club, making 22 stops against the Kamloops Blazers. But, it was in Palmer’s third and final campaign where the netminder really came alive. The 2023-24 season saw Palmer establish himself as a top-tier goaltender in the Western League by posting a boast-worthy record of 30-9-2-3, a 2.57 goals against average, and a save percentage of .907. Palmer concluded his time in the WHL with a final record of 66-56-8-4 in 140 regular season starts. Teague Patton (F)
Hometown: Kelowna, B.C.
WHL Career Stats: 205 GP – 50G-86A – 136 points
WHL Draft: 2018 – Signed (Medicine Hat)
Teague Patton’s tenure in the WHL is one that evokes feelings of inspiration and admiration. Going undrafted at the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft, Patton stayed committed to honing his craft and his goal of playing in the Western League. And, his hard work did not go unnoticed, as he signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Medicine Hat Tigers in September 2019. The forward then made his Tigers debut on November 8, 2019, against his hometown team, the Kelowna Rockets. His first career WHL goal came over a year later, when he lit the lamp on April 3, 2021, against the Calgary Hitmen. Patton donned the Tigers’ black and orange threads on 78 occasions, collecting 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. In June 2022, Patton moved back to his home province of British Columbia as he was acquired in a trade by the Victoria Royals. It was in Victoria where Patton’s game began to truly unfold, as he registered 49 points (16 goals–33 assists) during the 68-game, 2022-23 regular season. In July 2023, the British Columbia was traded one final time, joining the Everett Silvertips for the 2023-24 campaign. The transition to Washington State provided Patton with his best season to date, as he set a career-high in goals (22), assists (40), and points (62) in only 58 appearances with the Tips.
