Winterhawks reveal new red alternate uniforms
Portland, Ore. – The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club today revealed the design for its alternate uniform, completing the club’s uniform rebranding, which began over the summer.
The set prominently features red as the base color, with white and black block striping and subtle squall gray accents on the sleeves and socks. The jersey is hemmed in black, and the protective gear (helmets, gloves, pants) remains consistent with the home and road uniforms. “We’re excited to complete our rebranded uniform set with the introduction of our red uniform. The alternate look helps maintain the Winterhawks tradition of wearing red while also incorporating some of the newer elements of our brand,” said Winterhawks Chief Marketing Officer Jeff McGillis.
The Winterhawks will debut their new red uniforms this Saturday against the Seattle Thunderbirds for their annual Teddy Bear Toss game. This uniform will be worn in each of the remaining eight games against Seattle, with the potential to be worn for more games to be determined at a later date.
Replica red jerseys are expected to go on sale later this month, pending delivery from CCM.
