PORTLAND vs. SEATTLE
SATURDAY, FEB. 10 • 6:00 P.M.
VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM
The Portland Winterhawks hosted their fifth annual Black Hockey History Night at the VMC on Feb. 10, 2024 and they beat Seattle 4-1.
The fifth and final installment of the “Hawkey For All” series of theme nights, Black Hockey History Night is an opportunity for the Winterhawks family to recognize the impact of black athletes in the hockey community, both in Portland and around the hockey world. We’ll celebrate Black Winterhawks alumni like Ethan Price, who took time to chat with the team and staff ahead of the game night, and recognize local community groups who help make the Portland community a better place – be sure to visit Bproud, The Boys and Girls Club, BMIT, Blackstar Athletic Academy, and Feed The Masses on the concourse at the game on Saturday!
Game Night T-Shirt
The Winterhawks have teamed up with Bproud and The Boys and Girls Club for a specialty t-shirt design! Shirts will be available in the team store on game nights and online, with proceeds benefiting the groups above. Check it out below and click here to shop online!
The Winterhawks, in partnership with Toyota, again hosted free learn-to-play hockey classes through their Tom’s Tykes program this season. Most recently, the team partnered with The Boys and Girls Club to bring their youngsters into the program, learning from Winterhawks players and staff as they took their first steps on the ice.
