Wild Acquire 2007-Born Defenseman Campion in Trade with Spokane Chiefs
WENATCHEE, Wash. – The Wenatchee Wild have announced a trade with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League (WHL), acquiring 2007-born defenseman Caden Campion from the Chiefs in exchange for an eighth-round selection in the 2029 WHL Prospects Draft.
Campion is in his second full season of junior hockey, and has six games under his belt with the Chiefs, scoring one goal. The Trabuco Canyon, California native split last season between the Chilliwack Chiefs and Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), and also spent three games during the 2023-24 season with the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He began junior play after leading his Los Angeles Jr. Kings 15-Only team to a USA Hockey 15O national championship in 2023.
Wednesday morning, the Wild also announced the release of forward Paul Wiczek. The Park City, Utah native made five appearances for the team during his tenure in Wenatchee.
