Alumn-ICE Report: November 19, 2025

A proud third-year member of the Western Hockey League, the Wenatchee Wild are continuing a celebrated WHL legacy that dates back to Edmonton, Alberta in 1996, continuing in Cranbrook, British Columbia and Winnipeg, Manitoba. These are the ICE alumni, who are now also members of the #WildFamily, making news in American pro hockey this week:
NHL
SAM REINHART, 2010-15 (19 GP, 10-6-16) – Has a four-game point streak going for the Florida Panthers, including a pair of three-pointers – his tip-in last Monday represented the game-winner in Florida’s 3-2 win at the Vegas Golden Knights, followed by another winner last Thursday in a 6-3 victory against the Washington Capitals. His assist on Saturday came on the only Florida goal as part of a 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, followed by three more apples on Monday in an 8-5 home win against the Vancouver Canucks.
MATTHEW SAVOIE, 2019-24 (21 GP, 2-3-5) – Has three points on the Edmonton Oilers’ road trip, with two assists in last Wednesday’s 2-1 win at the Philadelphia Flyers and a second-period goal at the Columbus Blue Jackets the following night.
PEYTON KREBS, 2016-21 (19 GP, 0-5-5) – Is nearing the 100-point plateau for his NHL career, after adding two assists to his total this past week for the Buffalo Sabres – he tacked on one last Thursday in a 6-3 loss at the Colorado Avalanche, and helped out on the game-winner in a 5-1 victory Monday against the Edmonton Oilers.
JACK FINLEY, 2021-22 (8 GP, 1-1-2) – Scored his first two NHL points this past week, starting with an assist last Wednesday in a 7-2 Tampa Bay Lightning loss to the New York Rangers. His first NHL goal came Saturday in Tampa Bay’s 3-1 win at the Florida Panthers, registering the game-winner on a backhand attempt early in the third period.

AHL
CONOR GEEKIE, 2019-24 (11 GP, 3-8-11) – Hasn’t scored a goal for the Syracuse Crunch in November, but hasn’t been held off the stat sheet – he registered assists on back-to-back goals in last Tuesday’s 6-2 win over the Utica Comets before returning to home ice last Friday for an assist in a 2-1 loss to the Hershey Bears.
ZACK OSTAPCHUK, 2022-23 (9 GP, 2-1-3) – Was one of five goal-scorers last Tuesday in a 7-0 San Jose Barracuda win at the Abbotsford Canucks.
MIKEY MILNE, 2018-22 (6 GP, 0-1-1) – Made his first appearance on the stat sheet this season by posting an assist just 3:13 into a 3-1 Iowa Wild victory Tuesday against the Texas Stars.
ECHL
BEN ZLOTY, 2018-23 (11 GP, 2-7-9) – Pushed his current point streak to four games with assists Friday and Saturday for the Norfolk Admirals – Friday’s game saw the Savannah Ghost Pirates snag a 5-2 win in Norfolk, while the Ghost Pirates prevailed 5-4 Saturday. In the latter game, Zloty assisted on a go-ahead goal in a game where the Admirals led for the majority of the third period, while the tying goal in the second period was scored by former ICE teammate DAWSON BARTEAUX (2019-20).
EASTON ARMSTRONG, 2022-24 (11 GP, 4-4-8) – Picked up a first-period assist in Saturday’s 4-2 Tulsa Oilers win at the Allen Americans.
BRILEY WOOD, 2022-24 (13 GP, 2-4-6) – Added a first-period assist to his total last Wednesday in a 5-4 Rapid City Rush overtime loss at the Indy Fuel.
BRAYDEN EDWARDS, 2021-22 (6 GP, 2-2-4) – Scored points in both of the Wheeling Nailers’ most recent games at the Reading Royals – his power play goal Sunday tied the game for Wheeling in a 3-2 loss, and his primary assist came on the game-winner in Wheeling’s 2-0 win at the Royals.
EVAN FRIESEN, 2021-25 (13 GP, 1-3-4) – Notched an assist Sunday midway through the first period of the Utah Grizzlies’ 6-3 loss at the Idaho Steelheads.
MAX PATTERSON, 2015-17 (11 GP, 3-0-3) – Scored the Iowa Heartlanders’ only goal in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to the Bloomington Bison.
BRETT DAVIS, 2016-19 (10 GP, 1-2-3) – Returned to the stat sheet by assisting on a tying goal halfway through a 2-1 Rapid City Rush win Saturday at the Indy Fuel.
Also on Wenatchee’s alumni list are the standouts from its Junior A era (2008-2023) – these players laid the foundation for the WHL’s future success in the Wenatchee Valley. These are Wenatchee’s Junior A alumni who are making news in American pro hockey this week:
NIC DOWD, 2008-09 (19 GP, 1-4-5) – Recently appeared in his 600th NHL game, and scored his most recent point last Tuesday with an assist in the Washington Capitals’ 4-1 win at the Carolina Hurricanes.
There’s no doubt Dowder pours his heart and soul into this team.

SAM MORTON, 2016-18/2019-20 (1 GP, 0-0-0) – Flipped a 12-point start in 16 games for the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers into a return to the NHL for the Calgary Flames on Monday, suiting up for 15 shifts and 11 minutes of ice time Tuesday in a 5-2 loss at the Chicago Blackhawks.

HARRISON SCOTT, 2019-20 (13 GP, 2-2-4) – Registered a second-period assist in the Texas Stars’ comeback 3-2 shootout win Sunday at the Rockford IceHogs.
BRETT CHORSKE, 2019-20 (11 GP, 2-1-3) – Got an assist Friday to help put the Charlotte Checkers on the board in a 4-3 win at the Iowa Wild.
SETH EISELE, 2017-18 (2-0-0, 3.92) – Made 23 saves Saturday, backstopping the South Carolina Stingrays to a 5-3 win over the Orlando Solar Bears in Charleston.
