Regina, SK. – With the kick-off to the start of the 2020-21 Western Hockey League Eastern Division schedule just a few days away, the Brandon Wheat Kings are pleased to announce that twenty-four partners have been secured as digital Game Night Sponsors.

The Western League has developed an extensive set or protocols and believe the protective Hub environment will provide a high standard of safety, for not only players and staff, but the Regina community at large. Following a fourteen day quarantine and COVID-19 testing, all seven teams hit the ice this past Friday and will continue practice this week, in preparation for their season opener.
The WHL will implement an ongoing weekly private PCR testing strategy. In addition, enhanced screening for all WHL players, team staff and officials will also take place on a daily basis.
No spectators will be permitted to enter the Brandt Centre. However, fans can catch every Wheat Kings’ game from Regina on both 91.5 Q Country Radio and WHL LIVE by Verizon.
With the Eastern Division set to open up next weekend and the Central Division two weeks into their regular season, plans are also underway for both the U.S. and B.C. Divisions. While the U.S. Division is scheduled to begin on March 19th, the B.C. Division will hit the ice on March 26th.
When the Wheat Kings open up Friday night it will mark a full calendar year since the WHL shut down during the final month of the 2019-20 season. Brandon’s last game was Saturday, March 7th, 2020 against the Prince Albert Raiders.
