Reyelts went 4-0 with a 2.19 GAA (5th in the WHL) and a .925 save percentage (5th in the WHL). Against the Cougars this season the native of Proctor, MN went 2-0-1-0 in three starts stopping 70-of-81 shots he faced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Joshua Ravensbergen: <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ravensbergen started all six games in the Cougars first round. Through round one he went 4-2 with a 2.75 GAA (9th in the WHL) and a .918 save percentage (7th in the WHL). Against the Vees this season Ravensbergen went 1-2-0-0 sporting a .907 save percentage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ravensbergen was the 30th overall draft pick by the San Jose Sharks in last year\u2019s NHL Entry Draft.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>A Battle Brewing<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vees and the Cougars quickly developed a rivalry in Penticton\u2019s inaugural season, combining for 190 penalty minutes in six regular season games including 68 in the second last meeting of the season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There were six fighting majors handed out to each team capped off by a goaltender fight between McCallum and Ravensbergen at the South Okanagan Events Centre during a Vees 3-0 victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Head-To-Head<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vees defeated the Cougars in five of six regular season contests. Penticton outscored the Cougars by a 25-15 margin but three of the six games were decided by one goal including two going to overtime. Each team won one game in extra time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vees went 3-0 at home and 2-0-1 on the road in the season series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Players to Watch<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Penticton:<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Vees forward <\/span><b>Jacob Kvasnicka<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> continued on from his dominating regular season registering nine points (five goals and four assists) in five games in Penticton\u2019s first round meeting with the Thunderbirds. <\/span><b>Nolan Stevenson <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">had a solid opening round picking up four points. The Vees captain managed a +1 plus\/minus while racking up big minutes against some of Seattle&#8217;s top forwards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Prince George: <\/em><b>Brock Souch <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">had himself a big first round leading the Cougars in scoring with five goals and six assists. Projected Top 10 pick <\/span><b>Carson Carels <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">will also be someone to keep an eye on. Penticton wins the series 4-1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ryden Evers got the game started, jamming home a puck from the high-slot, to make it 1-0 with his fourth of the post-season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the Thunderbirds tied the game, Louie Wehmann made a great individual effort up the ice finishing on the backhand to make the score 2-1 after the first period.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vees added to their lead in the middle frame with Nolan Stevenson sneaking a shot through from the point for his first WHL playoff goal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wehmann added his second of the night on the powerplay to make the score 4-1 heading into the third period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jacob Kvasnicka was taken down on a breakaway leading to a penalty shot. Puck drop is 7:05PM from the SOEC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you can\u2019t make it down to the SOEC, catch all the action on Victory+, Summit 800 AM and Summit 98.5 Summerland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In their first ever WHL playoff game the Vees used a strong penalty kill and solid play from their goaltender AJ Reyelts to guide them to a 3-2 OT victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Game 2, the Vees were dominant from start to finish on their way to a 4-1 win and 2-0 series lead. Jacob Kvasnicka and Tristan Petersen each had a goal and an assist in the Game 2 victory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Game 3, the two teams went back-and-forth for much of the night. Penticton would strike twice in the third and hang on to a 4-3 victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Thunderbirds stayed alive in Game 4 scoring the first four goals of the game before hanging on for a 4-3 win. The Vees outshot Seattle 53-20 in the loss.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Vees penalty kill has gone 13\/13 in their four games in the post-season and are the last team in the playoffs not to give up a goal while down a man.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Vees Player to Watch: G AJ Reyelts: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reyelts<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is expected to get the start in Game 5.
