Vees sign 2006-born forward Louie Wehmann
PENTICTON, BC – The Penticton Vees, proud members of the Western Hockey League (WHL), are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Louie Wehmann to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“Louie will be an integral part of our lineup this season,” said Assistant General Manager Matthew Miller. “He brings a rare combination of size and strength for this level. His ability to control play below the dots and maintain possession makes him a versatile asset who can play in all situations.”
Wehmann joins Nolan Stevenson and Ryden Evers as returning players from the 2024-25 season. The Wayzata, Minnesota produced signed with the Vees last November and posted 25 points (14-11-25) in 39 regular season games. The 19-year-old added another seven points (4-3-7) in 14 playoff games.
Before joining the Vees, Wehmann played for the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The 6’3”, 209-pound forward is committed to playing NCAA Division I hockey at Cornell University.
