The Penticton Vees couldn’t hang on to a 1-0 lead on Saturday night falling to the Rockets 3-1 in Kelowna.

The Vees fall to 2-2-0-0 on the season.

For the second straight night the Vees struck first as once again it was Roberts Naudins driving hard to the net and jamming home a loose puck for his second goal of the season to make the score 1-0 after 20.

Vees starter AJ Reyelts made 20 saves in the opening frame.

It took until 4:30 remaining in the middle frame for the Rockets to solve Reyelts on their 29th shot of the game as Eli Barrett wired one through traffic on the high glove-side to make the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play.

The Rockets took a lead they would not relinquish early in the third period on the powerplay as Jacob Henderson took a pass from Madden Daneault and rifled the shot short side to make it 2-1.

Kelowna defended their own end well the rest of the way and added an empty net goal to make the final 3-1.
