The Penticton Vees fell 6-1 to the Rockets in Kelowna on Saturday night to close the preseason.

The Rockets found the back of the net twice in the opening frame. Once on the powerplay and again off a weird bounce in front to make the score 2-0 after 20.

Kelowna added one more on the powerplay in the second period to take a 3-0 lead into the final frame.

The Vees found the back of the net late in the third period off the stick of Whitaker Rewertz following a Rockets empty netter but Kelowna would add two more in the final two minutes to make the final score 6-1.

In the experimental overtime period, where they have been testing no-return three-on-three overtime the league has been running all preseason long, the Rockets would add their third powerplay goal of the night.
