The Penticton Vees battled back from two separate one goal deficits, eventually picking up a 3-2 overtime win in front of the home fans at the SOEC.

The Vees climb to 3-2-0-0 on the season.

The Giants opened the scoring on Friday night with Jakob Oreskovic popping home a loose puck to make it 1-0.

Penticton would even the score before the end of the frame with Tyler Deakos taking a pass from Gavin Katz and batting home his second goal of the season to make it 1-1 after 20.

The Giants had a strong start to the second period, and eventually scored, with Mathis Preston finding the back of the net to make it 2-1 following the middle period.

The Vees found their legs late in the second period and carried it over to the third. After a strong push Cal Stone found Graham Jones at the side of the net. Jones slid the puck into the open net for his first in the WHL to tie the game 2-2 and send it to overtime.

It was Jones again with the OT winner as he got the puck in the corner and walked out in front, tucking it five-hole for his second of the night to make the final 3-2.
