The Penticton Vees announced today Murray Maxwell Night which will take place on Friday, Oct. 9 when the Vees take on the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The Vees will celebrate their longtime volunteer and community member with a pregame ceremony, video tribute and more throughout the night on Oct. 9.
For over 30-years Murray was a well known face for every Penticton Vee who came to this city to play hockey.

“Murray was one of those special people who made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him,” said Vees president, general manager and head coach Fred Harbinson. “His love for the Vees/Panthers and our city was genuine, but more than anything, I’ll remember the relationships he built with the entire hockey community.

October 9th will be a meaningful night to come together, share memories and celebrate a legend in Penticton Hockey History.”

The Vees will always remember Murray and all he meant to the organization and the city. He will be forever immortalized within the South Okanagan Events Centre.
