Prince Albert, SK - The Tigers took on the Raiders in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Championship on Friday, May 1st in the Art Hauser Centre.

The Raiders had Medicine Hat's number out of the gate as they were the first on the board with Alisher Sarkenov at 5:00.

Despite only posting three shots in the first period, Medicine Hat's push towards the end of the first period showed some promise as they did a great job of pressing on Prince Albert.

Their efforts were rewarded when Jonas Woo found the back of the net for his seventh of the playoffs. Yaroslav Bryzgalov fed Woo from behind the net for a one-timer that tied the game 1-1 at 17:10.

The Tigers had a lot more chances offensively in the second period but couldn't find their way past Michal Orsulak.

Owen Corkish opened the second period scoring early with his fourth of the playoffs at 0:22.

Their best chance of the period for the Tigers came on a break from Markus Ruck after a Raiders defender blew a tire, leaving no one between Ruck and Orsulak. Orsulak snagged a piece of the wrist shot from Ruck and kept the Raiders in the lead.

Prince Albert added two goals to their lead, the first from Ben Harvey at 8:57, and the second from Corkish at 13:36.

The Tigers got started to claw back early in the third period with Ethan Neutens' fifth goal of the playoffs at 1:55. Neutens tipped home a point shot from Cam Parr to bring the Tigers within two.

Medicine Hat and Prince Albert split the third period in the shots department as they each tallied 13.

The Tabbies continued their momentum with Josh Van Mulligen's second goal of the playoffs at 9:19. Van Mulligen one-time a rebound from a Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll shot to bring the Tigers within one with over half of the third period remaining.

As time ticked down the Tigers pulled Carter Casey for the extra attacker with 2:45 remaining in the third. Prince Albert gained possession off of the draw for a quick empty net goal at 17:29.

The Tigers pulled the goalie again but the final nail in the coffin came from their second empty netter as Brayden Dube scored his fifth goal of the playoffs at 18:31.

The Raiders won Game 5 with a score of 6-3 and put the Tigers on the brink of elimination as they head back to Co-op Place for Game 6 on Sunday, May 3rd.

Casey got the nod in net for the Tigers in Game 5 and had an outstanding night stopping 41 of 45 shots on goal.

Medicine Hat, AB - The Tigers took on the Raiders for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday, April 29th in Co-op Place.

Following the Tigers overtime victory over the Raiders just one night prior, Prince Albert came out of the gate in Game 4 with a vengeance as they put the screws to Medicine Hat.

Defensive grit from the Tigers including Captain Bryce Pickford throwing his body in front of some high danger chances helped keep the puck out of the net. The Tigers were able to keep the game close despite two Raiders goals in quick succession.

The first came from Daxon Rudolph on the power play at 10:16, and the second came from Evan Smith shortly after at 11:40.

Medicine Hat evened up the game with Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll's fourth goal of the playoffs at 11:48. Gordon-Carroll one-timed a pass from Josh Van Mulligen and it found it's way through the five-hole of Orsulak.

The Tigers went into the first intermission down by one after putting up nine shots on goal in the first period.

The second period looked better for the Tigers in the shots department as they outshot the Raiders 10-9.

Prince Albert continued their pressure from the first period and found the back of the net three times in a row in the middle frame, including a power play goal from Rudolph at 0:25 to start the period.

Aiden Oiring added to the Raiders lead soon after with his sixth of the playoffs at 4:15.

After a goaltending change for the Tigers the Raiders found the back of the net once more, this time from Maddix McCagherty at 6:33.

The Tigers started to close the gap with Ethan Neutens' fourth goal of the playoffs at 6:58. Cam Parr dumped the puck into Prince Albert's zone and Neutens bared down to beat the defenders to the puck and caught Orsulak off guard with a quick shot to make it 5-2.

Just before the end of the period, the Orsulak made a big save on a great scoring chance for the Tigers after Gavin Kor made a dangerous deflection out front. The game would stay at 5-2 going into the third period.

Max Heise scored the lone PA goal in the third period at 9:07 to extend their lead to 6-2.

The Tigers fought back with Gordon-Carroll's second of the night as he tipped a Dayton Reschny shot from the point through Orsulak's five-hole to make it 6-3 at 15:20.

Carter Casey made some big saves at the end of the game to hold the score at 6-3 until time ran out. The Tigers fell in Game 4 and the Raiders tied the series 2-2.

Medicine Hat, AB - The Tigers took on the Raiders for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday, April 28th in Co-op Place.

The start of Game 3 set the tone for the rest of the game as goaltending at both ends was hot from the start.

Michal Orsulak stopped all eight shots that came his way in the first period while Jordan Switzer turned away 13.

A pair of power play opportunities for the Tigers in the first period gave them some high-danger chances to take the lead, but Orsulak kept the Tigers at bay.

Daxon Rudolph was the only player that found the back of the net in the first period with his sixth of the playoffs at 15:33.

The second period was almost identical to the first but with a more favourable outcome for the Tabbies as they outscored the Raiders 1-0 in the middle frame.

Tensions grew high before anyone found the back of the net in the second as the physicality was turned up a notch.

As emotions rose the Tigers had another power play opportunity late in the second and Kade Stengrim made sure to cash in. A rocket of a wrist shot that came out of the net as fast as it went in tied the game at 1-1 at 15:33.

Prince Albert made a big push in the third to take back their lead but the outstanding play by Switzer kept them out of the back of the net.

Some solid defensive plays by the likes of Veeti Väisänen and other Tigers D-men kept the Raiders at bay despite their offensive momentum rising.

Captain Bryce Pickford took it upon himself to continue the physical tone from earlier in the game to keep the Raiders outside.

The teams remained tied at 1-1 after three periods of play and the 5200 fans in Co-op Place got to witness some free hockey as overtime came their way.

A stretch pass from Riley Steen led to a play that allowed Markus Ruck to set up Andrew Basha for a shot on goal from the high slot. Orsulak made the initial save but Liam Ruck put the game to rest as he put home the rebound for the overtime winner at 4:07. The Tigers won the game 2-1 and took a 2-1 series lead in the 2026 Eastern Conference FInals.

Switzer finished the game with 37 saves on 38 shots after an incredible performance in Game 3 immediately following his shutout in Game 2.

Prince Albert, SK - The Tigers looked to tie up the series in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday, April 25th in the Art Hauser Centre after falling 8-3 to the Raiders in Game 1.

The Tigers came out of the gate with a fire in their game that had PA on their heels. They peppered Michal Orsulak with 16 shots in the opening frame to set the tone that the Tigers can not be counted out.

Many high-danger chances were generated by the offensive pressure created by the Tigers with the best coming from Markus Ruck early in the first with a five-hole that was denied by Orsulak.

After not receiving a power play in Game 1, the Tigers had back-to-back power play opportunities in the first period.

It took almost all 20 minutes of the first but the Tigers on their 16th shot finally found the back of the net with a deflection from Noah Davidson off of a shot from Jonas Woo just one second after their second power play expired at 19:54.

As if 16 shots in the first period was not crazy enough, the Tigers continued to push hard and top that total by posting 17 shots in the middle frame.

Orsulak and the Raiders defence had their work cut out for them and a few close calls that needed a closer look to see if the puck crossed the goal line.

The Tigers received another power play opportunity late in the second period and the Ruck twins capitalized. Markus took a feed from Bryce Pickford at the left wall and walked all the way through the top of the zone to the right side and fed his brother Liam Ruck out front. Liam sent a shot through Orsulak's five-hole to give the Tigers a two goal lead at 16:13 on the power play.

It was all Tigers through the first 40 minutes of play as they held a 2-0 lead going into the third period. Jordan Switzer's solid play on the back end snuffed out the few chances the Raiders did have in the first two frames.

Switzer's busiest period of the night came at the end of the game as Prince Albert pushed hard to get on the board. Despite PA posting 15 shots in the third, Medicine Hat's incredible special teams allowed them to escape some high-danger scenarios unscathed.

Markus Ruck had two breakaway chances in the third period and cashed in on the second one off of a chip pass from Carter Cunningham in the Tigers end gave Ruck a step on the defender. Ruck fired a wrist shot past Orsulak to make it 3-0 Tigers and silence the Art Hauser at 12:49.

Woo's empty net goal at 18:05 sealed the Raiders fate as the game was all but over at 18:05.

Before the game could end Niilopekka Muhonen tallied his first goal of the year, including the regular season, at 18:41. A long shot from the point caught Orsulak off guard and made for a great moment for all Tigers players and fans to enjoy.

A huge 5-0 win in Game 2 tied the series 1-1 and Switzer earned his first career playoff shutout after stopping all 30 shots faced.

Prince Albert, SK - The Tigers took on the Raiders for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday, April 24th in the Art Hauser Centre. The top two seeds of the East sat only two points away from each other in the regular season and split the season series with two wins each.

All four previous matchups between the two clubs were physical and that tone was carried forward to the post-season. Both teams were throwing checks left and right including some bone-crushing collisions from Josh Van Mulligen and Niilopekka Muhonen.

The Raiders were the first on the board with a goal from Brayden Dube at 6:23.

The Tigers responded with a snipe from Markus Ruck at 15:37. Ruck picked up a stretch pass from Andrew Basha and gained a step on the Raiders defenceman. A rocket of a wrist shot tied the game 1-1.

Justice Christensen restored the Prince Albert lead just 1:40 later, and the Raiders were up by 1 at the first intermission.

The Tigers put up double-digit shots in the second period but could not find their way past Michal Orsulak for a while.

Prince Albert added two more tallies to their total with the first from Ben Harvey at 2:43 and the second from Max Heise on the power play at 13:53.

Shaeffer Gordon-Caroll scored the lone goal of the middle frame for the Tigers as he managed to tip a feed from Dayton Reschny over the shoulder of Orsulak despite being tied up in the slot.

The Raiders opened the third period with back-to-back power play goals from Aiden Oiring at 3:37 and Alisher Sarkenov at 6:46.

Despite the Tigers last minute efforts their deficit grew larger and they struggled to keep the game at even strength.

Off of a mid-ice interception Bryce Pickford fired an amazing wrist shot past Orsulak for his sixth goal of the playoffs to bring the Tigers within three at 8:01.

The Raiders offensive push added two more goals to their total at the end of the period from Aiden Oiring and Evan Smith to make for a final score of 8-3.
