Bruins Take Down Tigers In Overtime
Chilliwack, BC – The Chilliwack Bruins defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-4 in overtime on Friday night at Prospera Centre.
For the Tigers, it was the straight game fourth straight game and fifth time this season Medicine Hat has gone to overtime.
Scoring for the Tigers were forwards Zdenek Okal, Wacey Hamilton, Taylor Gal and Cole Grbavac with his first goal in his first game with the club.
20-year-old Bretton Cameron pushed his current point streak to four games with a pair of assists and continues to lead the club in scoring with seven goals and 12 points in eight games.
Goaltender Tyler Bunz (2-1-2-1), who started his sixth straight game for the Tigers, stopped 23 of 28 shots in the loss.
Former Tigers' forward Colton Grant recorded one assist in his debut for the Bruins.
Medicine Hat scored once on eight power plays, while holding Chilliwack scoreless on three man advantages.
