TIGERS ACQUIRE HOLLETT FROM REGINA
Medicine Hat, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers made their first move of the 2017 off season acquiring 99 born goaltender Jordan Hollett from the Regina Pats. In exchange the Tigers agreed to send 97 born forward Matt Bradley, 2018 2nd Round Bantam Draft Pick and a 2019 5th Round Bantam Draft Pick to Regina.
Bradley was drafted in the 2nd Round of the 2012 Bantam Draft and appeared in 209 career games as a Tiger.
“The Tigers would like to thank Matt for his years of dedication and contribution on and off the ice in Medicine Hat. We wish him all the best in Regina with the Pats,” stated General Manager and Head Coach Shaun Clouston.
In Hollett the Tigers gain depth and experience to their goaltending position. Last year with the Pats Hollett appeared in 19 games recording a 15-2-2-0 record along with a 0.901 save percentage and 2.83 goals against average.
Hollett was a 1st Round Bantam Draft Pick of the Pats in 2014 (13th overall) and was currently ranked in the NHL’s Central Scouting final rankings for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
“We are excited to acquire a goaltender of Jordan’s caliber,” said Clouston. “Jordan is one of the top 99 born goaltenders in the Western Hockey League and gives us depth at a very important position for years to come. We would like to welcome Jordan and his family to the Tigers organization.”
