Sept. 22 Highlights: At T-Birds 5, Portland 3

Nolan Volcan, Zack Andrusiak, Owen Williams, Matthew Wedman and Dillon Hamaliuk all scored in the T-Birds season opening 5-3 win over the Portland Winterhawks. Goalie Liam Hughes had 30 saves. Seth Jarvis scored twice for Portland and Joachim Blichfeld also scored. Shane Farkas had 30 saves.
