T-Birds Promote Two within Scouting Department
T-Birds promote two within scouting department.
KENT, September 20, 2023 — The Seattle Thunderbirds today announced the organization has promoted Craig Goebel to Director of Player Personnel after spending last season as the Director of Scouting. Craig has been with the Thunderbirds organization for the last five years.
“This is a very well-earned promotion,” said General Manager Bil La Forge. “The work that Craig and staff has done in restocking our prospect pool allows us to be aggressive in adding to our roster knowing that we are able to find good players in all areas of the draft.” Craig has been an instrumental part in adding quality players to our team both through the draft and listing process.
In a subsequent move, Jag Bal has been promoted to the role of Director of Scouting. Jag is entering his fifth season scouting for the Thunderbirds.
“Jag has been a valuable resource for us ever since joining the organization, said GM Bil La Forge. “First, as our main B.C. scout he was instrumental in our quality selections from that province,” added La Forge. “He has since expanded his reach and covers all Western Canada. Jag will provide an excellent complement to Craig. We couldn’t be happier to have them heading our scouting department.”
