T-Birds Name Jerret Smith Captain
T-Bird open 2015-16 season Friday in Vancouver
KENT, September 24, 2015 — The Seattle Thunderbirds today named defenseman Jerret Smith captain of the 2015-16 team.
Smith is entering his fourth season with the T-Bird. Last season Smith appeared in 72 games and had 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points. In his WHL career Smith has appeared in 215 games and has 15 goals and 62 assists for 77 points.
Last season Justin Hickman started the season as the team captain. When Hickman’s season ended due to injury Shea Theodore was named captain.
The T-Birds open the 2015-16 season in Vancouver against the Giants on Friday, September 25, at 7:30pm at Pacific Coliseum.
The T-Birds home opener for the 2015-16 season is Saturday, October 3, against the Prince George Cougars at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2015-16 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
