Sam Popowich

2019-20: Popowich played seven games this season for the T-Birds. He made his T-Birds debut on October 28 at the Calgary Hitmen. Popowich registered his first WHL point with an assist against the Hitmen in his T-Birds debut, which was a 2-1 win. He played the majority of the season with the Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL and had eight goals and nine assist for 17 points in 36 games.

2018-19: In his first season in the CSSHL E15, Popowich appeared in 36 games or the Northern Alberta Elite 15s, where he scored 18 goals and recorded 33 assists for 51 total points. Popowich also appeared in the post season in all five games where he scored one goal and recorded two assists for three total points. His team would go on to win the CSSHL E15 Championship.

2017-18: Popowich was selected in the fifth round with the 91st overall pick by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft in Red Deer, Alberta on May 3, 2018. During the 2017-2018 season, Popowich appeared in 34 games for the Camrose Redwings Bantam AAA in the AMBHL where he scored 19 goals and recorded 26 assists for 45 total points. Popowich was also invited to play on Team Central for the Alberta Cup where he would appear in five games and score two goals and record one assist for three total points

2016-2017: In his first year in the AMBHL, Popowich appeared in 32 games for the Camrose Redwings Bantam AAA where he scored seven goals and recorded eight assists for 15 total points.
