Six T-Birds Heading to NHL Camps
KENT, August 18, 2021 — The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced that six T-Birds are attending NHL Training Camps.
Center Henrik Rybinski is attending the Edmonton Oilers camp as a free agent.
Center Matthew Rempe is attending the New York Rangers camp. Rempe was selected by the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Draft, round 6, 165th overall.
Defenseman Tyrel Bauer will be attending the Winnipeg Jets camp. Bauer was selected by the Jets in the 2020 NHL Draft, round 6, 164th overall.
Left wing Conner Roulette will be attending the Dallas Stars camp. Roulette was selected by the Stars in the 2021 NHL Draft, round 4, 111th overall.
Left wing Lucas Ciona will be attending the Calgary Flames camp. Ciona was selected by the Flames in the 2021 NHL Draft, round 6, 173rd overall.
Defenseman Jeremy Hanzel will be attending the Tampa Bay Lightning camp as a free agent.
“The fact that we are sending more and more players to camps every year is an indication of the quality of scouting and development within our organization,” says general manager Bil La Forge. “The credit for this success is shared between our scouts, coaching staff and the hard work of the players. I am confident this number will continue to grow in the coming years.”
The T-Birds start the 2021-22 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, October 2, at 6:00pm at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Home Opener is Saturday, October 9, against the Winterhawks at 6:05pm at accesso ShoWare Center.
