Milic has 32 saves in 2-1 win over Everett
KENT, March 31, 2021 — Jeremy Hanzel scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period and Thomas Milic made 32 saves as the Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the Everett Silvertips 2-1 Wednesday night at accceso ShoWare Center.
The T-Birds are now 4-2-0-0 and handed Everett (5-1-0-0) their first loss of the season. The T-Birds next game is Friday at Everett at 7:05pm. They travel to play the Spokane Chiefs on Sunday at 5:10pm.
Hanzel collected the puck inside the blue line in the defensive zone and made a spin move to get away from a Silvertips forward. Hanzel then passed the puck up to Lucas Ciona in the neutral zone and skated hard up ice. Hanzel took a pass back from Ciona, muscled past a Tip defender and came in alone against Everett goalie Dustin Wolf. Hanzel stickhandled towards Wolf and beat the goalie through the legs with a slick move at 10:18.
